Clinical Practice Improvement Payment Project (CPIP)

CPIP was a bonus financial incentive payment scheme that allowed districts and clinical units to earn a reward for demonstrable achievement of endorsed clinical indicators. A service improvement strategy to encourage and reward good quality care.

In 2009 the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement (PSQ) department received approval for funding from 2010 to 2013 for the CPIP program. Cancer services incentive funding began in February 2011 and has ended in 2013.
